This is a key leadership role within the Finance organization, responsible for general accounting to support AspenTech's growth. Based in Bedford, MA, you will have the opportunity to interact with all Finance functions as well as other groups cross-functionally across the AspenTech business.Your ImpactOwn the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring all accounting activities are completed timely and in accordance with company policies and US GAAPOversee GL accounting and compensation accounting functionsManage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, development, and oversight of day-to-day activitiesServe as the subject matter expert for technical accounting matters, partnering with the Enterprise Accounting team as neededContinuously assess and improve accounting processes and internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reportingIdentify opportunities for system enhancements and participate in related process improvements to drive efficiencyWork cross-functionally with other departments to ensure accurate accounting treatment and compliance with company policiesLiaise with auditors to address technical accounting and other audit mattersPrepare and deliver financial metrics and reports to support financial resultsOversee monthly fluctuation analysis and variance reportingWhat You'll NeedCPA or MBA in Finance or related field a plusStrong skills in general accounting and financial analysisSignificant knowledge of US GAAP Ability to work and communicate effectively with peers and management up to Executive levelVery strong written and oral communication skillsExperience with Oracle a plus10+ years of relevant accounting experience7 years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skillsRemote applicants will be consideredThe salary range for this role is $146,900.00 - $183,600.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
