The Loaner Car Agent coordinates the car rental process with the customer and our service and sales departments in accordance with established guidelines.

What You'll Do:

• Meets with customers who are interested in renting a vehicle from Sterling while their vehicle is in for maintenance or repair
• Explains the rental agreement to the customer to ensure all components are covered
• Recommends the make and model of vehicle and the cost associate with each
• Ensures that no one other than the leasee is allowed to operate the vehicle
• Obtains a copy of customer's valid Driver's License and current Insurance Card
• Prepares the rental agreement, obtaining the appropriate signatures, and computes rental charges based on various factors
• Promotes a better understanding of the rental program among sales and service advisors
• Suggest procedures to management which may enhance the dealership's rental program

What We're Looking For:

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or with 3 full years of driving record, due to insurance requirements
• Display excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment and demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
• Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
