Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ growth and development as a Special Education Teacher in a welcoming school environment! This contract opportunity is available for dedicated professionals interested in either Middle School Intensive Intervention (Self-contained) or Elementary Resource positions. The school day runs from 7:45am to 3:15pm, giving you the chance to make a meaningful difference while maintaining work-life balance.
Available placements include:
- Middle School Intensive Intervention Teacher – Self-contained classroom.
- Three Elementary Resource Teacher roles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with general education staff, administrators, and support personnel.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom culture.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth, challenges, and successes.
- Proactively address behavioral, social, and emotional needs in partnership with the school team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification required.
- Proven experience working with students who have learning disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral challenges.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, compliance, and documentation.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team setting.
- Enthusiasm for fostering independence and success in students at either the elementary or middle school level.
