What You'll Do as the Civil Litigation Attorney Manage a caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution Handle pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, and court appearances Develop case strategy and provide thoughtful legal analysis Maintain strong client relationships and deliver responsive communication Collaborate with partners and fellow attorneys on complex litigation matters Participate in business development and client-facing opportunities as experience allows Meet billable hour expectations while maintaining high-quality legal work Must-Haves as the Civil Litigation Attorney Licensed attorney in New York State or ability to obtain admission 2+ years of experience handling civil litigation matters Insurance defense experience Ability to independently manage files and move cases forward with minimal supervision Strong writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills Excellent organizational and communication abilities Nice-to-Haves as the Civil Litigation Attorney 5-10+ years of litigation experience Municipal law experience Experience managing complex personal injury defense matters Trial experience Portable client relationships or business development interest Prior mentoring or leadership experience This Role Offers Base salary generally ranging from $90,000-$150,000, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates Quarterly bonus program tied to performance and firm success Partnership-track opportunity for the right individual Relocation assistance consideration for strong candidates 401(k) with 3% employer contribution Medical insurance with employer contribution toward premiums Dental, vision, life insurance, and short-term disability coverage Attorney registration renewal fees paid Local bar association dues paid Collaborative, team-oriented culture with hands-on mentorship Significant long-term growth opportunities within an expanding firm Trueline is a unabashed equal-opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
