Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S. Job Description We are looking for a Branch Driver to join our PLATT team in Tualatin, OR. Replace “B.A. in Electrical Engineering, University of Oregon, 1989” with “B.A. in Electrical Engineering, University of Oregon.” Summary The Truck Driver - Combined is responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). Responsible for ensuring that deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner and materials are correct and free of damage. What You’ll Do Inspect the company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report Keep the company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert supervisor of repair or service needs Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local and state driving laws and regulations Load or unload the vehicle; ensure all material for each order is correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure May assist in preparing orders for delivery Complete appropriate delivery documentation, including customer receipt, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest Pick up material returns from customers; inspect condition and verify quantities and catalog numbers Pick up material from company suppliers Senior Truck Driver will participate in the training of entry level Truck Drivers and provide mentorship and coaching May support other warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material Perform other duties as assigned Job Duties Disclaimer: The information in this job description describes essential job functions and is not intended to be exhaustive. Qualifications What You’ll Need In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training Must have a valid driver’s license Must be at least 21 years of age Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire Must not have had a suspended driver’s license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years Must not have any at-fault accidents in the past 3 years Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW Ability to handle basic issues and problems Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines Excellent customer service skills Good attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines Ability to work overtime as needed Additional Information Physical Demands: Sit: Remain stationary for long periods Walk: Move about inside/outside as needed Use hands to operate a computer and other office machinery Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to stock shelves or access equipment Climb or balance on ladders or warehouse equipment Talk, hear, and communicate to detect hazards Weight and Force Demands: Up to 10 pounds: Constant Up to 25 pounds: Constant Up to 50 pounds: Frequently Working Environment: Occasional exposure to high noise, heat, or cold Occasional exposure to electrical hazards Frequent handling of potentially dangerous equipment Regular travel to offsite locations Rexel USA (A VEVRAA Federal Contractor) is an EEO/Disabled/Veterans employer.
