Job TitleShift: 1st (6am to 2:30pm)Pay: $36.48Location: PocatelloAmy's Perks:A fun and safe atmosphere where teamwork is encouragedWeeks of on-the-job training for your new roleDiscount on Amy's productsOpportunities to grow and advance your careerCompetitive compensation and benefits packageAffordable Amy's meals on-site for lunch and dinnerBonus incentives based on attendance and safetyReferral BonusesSafety Shoe Program, covered by Amy's401k program (up to 4% contribution matching after 1 year)Parental Leave ProgramEducation reimbursement; scholarship ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO) and Unpaid Time Off optionsEssential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)Programming and Controls:Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs (A/B SLC500, Control Logix) and industrial computer controls.Modify and troubleshoot existing HMI screen interfaces and PLC software; provide feedback on detailed software design descriptions.Install, program, and troubleshoot adjustable frequency AC/DC motor drives, servo motor controls, and robotics.Use a computer to interpret PLC ladder diagrams and check I/O functions to diagnose and repair issues.Interpret and accurately work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to install, maintain, and repair control panels and industrial equipment.Project and Engineering Management:Provide technical, hands-on support for the installation, commissioning, and validation of facility and equipment projects.Evaluate new equipment and analyze alternative solutions to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Work closely with the Controls Engineer to maintain and standardize software across plant equipment and provide overall project support.Provide technical support and training to plant electricians, plant departments, and maintenance teams as needed.Maintenance and Repair:Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and components, including 3-phase and single-phase circuits.Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.Perform work based on schedules, schematics, and work orders.Use a full range of electronic test equipment, computer hardware, and software.It is the responsibility of all employees to uphold the mission of the Amy's Food Safety and Quality Policy. This includes following all Food Safety and Sustainability programs and participating in all required training.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. At times, may be required to supervise the daily activities of other employees working on projects they are managing. At times will also be responsible for supervising/managing outside contractors.QualificationsEducation or ExperienceAssociate's degree (A.A.S. or A.O.S.) in Industrial Automation or Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent military/trade school training, four or more years of relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.Technical SkillsProficient in Rockwell PLC and HMI software troubleshooting, diagnostics, and minor program modifications.Knowledge of industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Ability to apply and tune closed-loop control systems (e.g., PID loops).Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and panel layouts.Strong knowledge of industrial electrical practices, tools, and materials.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Personal AttributesAbility to work independently; self-motivated with a proactive, hands-on approach.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with different departments and contractors.Detail-oriented and safety-conscious with high standards for quality.Capable of solving practical problems and interpreting complex technical instructions.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
