Job Description

Join our team as a PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse in a dynamic Mixed Acuity Unit. This position requires a focused and dedicated nursing professional to provide comprehensive care to both PCU and MS Tele patients. You will play a critical role in managing diverse patient needs, ensuring high standards of care and monitoring across various diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patients in a Mixed Acuity Unit.
• Manage the care of patients with multiple diagnoses including Surgical pre and post cases, Trauma surgery, and more.
• Administer medications and implement IV insulin protocols, cardiac drips, and other treatments as needed.
• Perform detailed assessments and manage dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care, and complex patient needs.
• Provide patient education and support to families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in PCU/IMC within the last 3 years.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• PALS certification is preferred.
• Active NY State RN license is required prior to submission.
• Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC experience is essential.
