Job Requirements The role requires a licensed RN in Florida and relevant certifications; key responsibilities include medication administration, delegation, documentation, and interdisciplinary care coordination. Primary Accountabilities Quality/No Harm Effective medication administration as verified by observation and skill demonstrations. Appropriate delegation and supervision of patient care activities. Effective communication with the healthcare team, promoting team functioning. Use of Health First computer systems for order entry, inquiry, and documentation. Safe clinical practice demonstrated by skill fair, competency assessment, and age‑specific checklist. Coordination of an interdisciplinary care plan based on evidence‑based practice. Accurate documentation of nursing care, changes in condition, responses to therapy, treatments, procedures, and referrals. Dependability, reliability, and flexibility. Stewardship Economic use and care of equipment and supplies. Customer Experience Provides patient, family, and/or caregiver education as directed. Offers service with sensitivity and respect for diverse needs and expectations. Contributes to patient experience, evidenced by satisfaction scores, HCAHPs scores, written compliments, purposeful hourly rounding, and bedside shift reports. Qualifications Required Education: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing; Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN required. Licensure: Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement. Certification: Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card and unit‑specific certifications. Experience: Meets unit‑specific care requirements. Language: Ability to speak, understand, and read English. Physical Demands Visual acuity and hand‑eye coordination for clinical tasks. Corrected vision and hearing in normal range. Ability to lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate patients or equipment up to 90% of the shift. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the shift. Stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 90% of the assigned shift. Potential exposure to bio‑hazardous waste and known or unknown diseases.
