Overview and Sign‑on Bonus Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN for the Intermediate Care Unit. Sign‑on Bonus: $8K and relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. Location Hampton, VA Work Shift First (Days) / Night 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 scheduled weekly hours. License and Certification LPN License in the state(s) of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Education Trade School Graduate – Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities Under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner, the LPN delivers direct patient care, including medication administration, nursing interventions, and implementation of care plans. The role includes patient advocacy, collaborative communication with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, teaching patient and family members, and maintaining adherence to legal and ethical nursing standards. Work may occur in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or private homes.
