Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Previous experience in skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred

Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist, focused on improving residents' abilities in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, and psychosocial functioning.
- Assist with resident evaluations and contribute to documentation of functional status and progress toward goals.
- Deliver direct therapy services in a compassionate, safe, and effective manner.
- Monitor and document residents' responses to interventions, reporting changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist promptly.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate relevant resident updates.
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safety techniques to support independence.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Uphold ethical and professional conduct in accordance with state licensure and certification requirements.
