The position will be based in our Hudson and/or Bolton locations.Synergy offers supervisory support, CEUs, employee wellness programs, complementary yoga memberships and discounts on other Synergy Wellness Center's services. Upon completion of eligibility requirements, full time employees (works 32+ hours a week) may participate in a full benefits package including PTO, medical, dental and vision insurance and a 401(k). We handle your insurance credentialing and have a strong intake and billing team which allows you to practice your art with administrative support in place. Synergy's scope of services includes counseling, acupuncture, massage therapy, energy healing, yoga, meditation, functional and lifestyle medicine, health coaching, and specialty classes and workshops. Join our team!Job SummaryThe Clinical Director provides clinical leadership to the clinical and non-clinical team members of our mental health counseling team, balancing quality of care, clinician and staff support, compliance, clinical and intake operations, in line with the company's strategy, goals and values. This is a co-leadership role with the Practice Director.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical oversight of treatment, quality outcomes for clients, HIPAA and licensing compliance, guide clinical decision making and treatment protocolsEnsure legal, ethical and professional standards are met (reporting, scope of practice)Evaluate for continuous improvement of all processes and proceduresServe as clinical escalation point for high risk cases and clinic's risk managementProvide individual therapy to clients in person and telehealthProvide individual supervision to supervisors, mentor clinicians' clinical skills and professional growthIdentify training needs, coordinate continuing education within scope of training budgetSupport clinician well-being and stress reduction to prevent burnoutEnsure the team's timely, high quality and clinically compliant documentationProvide team and individual feedback to highlight clinical strengths and areas of clinical improvement following semi-annual chart audits and as situations ariseDevelop, update and implement systems, policies, and procedures into Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent, efficient and effective workflowsFoster a healthy, ethical, supportive clinical culture, clinician retention, modeling professionalism and values, supporting diversity, equity and inclusion in clinical practiceLead clinical team meeting, peer supervision and supervisor meetings, in collaboration with Practice DirectorEnsure collaborative communication between the Intake, Medical Billing and CliniciansParticipate in company Manager and other meetings as appropriateProvide clinical coverage when Practice Manager and Supervisors are unavailableRepresent the Therapy department at community and networking eventsAssist with outreach to local physician, psychiatric and other referral partners to establish trust, credibility and profitable referral relationshipsCollaborate with the Marketing team to promote staff and team expertise; serve as the public face of the Therapy team to expand the company's influence as mental health experts; educate internally and externally about services and interventionsOversee and contribute to new staff orientation regarding policies, documentation standards, clinical culture, introduction to Intake team, EHR requirements and general expectationsRespond to client complaints, clinical incidents, external record requests and auditsOversee performance reviews, support Supervisors in addressing and improving employees' work performance issues, provide feedback in a supportive corrective mannerOversee caseloads, progress notes, client retention, clinician productivity, financial performance and KPI's to meet company's clinical and revenue goalsAdvise leadership on hiring needs, waitlists and specialty gapsEnsure successful communication with Medical Billing for timely insurance verification and between and Intake and Clinicians for assignments, openings, and clinical expertiseInvolve Intake Team in updating Intake SOP's as neededUtilize Asana to monitor intake process and to communicate across the CompanyOther DutiesThis description is not a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Qualifications (Skills, Experience, Education)Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Counseling PsychologyLicensure including LICSW, LMHC or LMFTMinimum 5 years of supervisory experienceMinimum 2-5 years of management experience, demonstrated leadership, record of providing clinical trainings, team oversight, revenue generationPrior participation in manager trainingA record of diverse work experienceClinical experience with clients from ages 5 through adulthoodSpecific training and experience with the following treatment modalities: IFS, EMDR, ACT, CBT, DBT, and Somatic practicesA record of overseeing successful administrative and clinical operationsDemonstrated experience developing, reviewing and training on the development of quality clinical treatment plans, assessments and progress notesDesire to work in an innovative, integrative services company committed to client and employee wellnessDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvementWarm, friendly and thoughtful demeanor to facilitate exemplary customer service in a calm yet fast-paced environmentExcellent written and interpersonal communicationA history of building cohesive teams, a positive work culture, and an emphasis on individual and team relationships with direct reports and among all team membersOpenness to constructive feedback and flexibility to adjust strategies as neededStrong attention to detail and solid organizational skills with an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through on tasks independentlyExperience working successfully with leadership team and with a peer leaderTrustworthy and able to handle confidential employee and client informationWilling and able to learn new technologies and skillsA solution focused approach to tackling problems and challenging situationsA desire to market services through in person and digital meansProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, familiarity with Jane.AppWork ScheduleThe position is 32 hours per week consisting of a minimum of 18 weekly hours of direct clinical work in person and tele-health, and a blend of supervisory and administrative work, with approximately 4 supervisory hours and 10 administrative hours, supervising a maximum of 5 supervisees.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sittingWorking on a computer and using the telephoneSitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pullingMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesInclusion of all individuals and services are at the heart of Synergy Wellness Center.
