About This Role

As a server at Wagamama, you are responsible for delivering a warm, engaging, and efficient dining experience. You bring our menu to life by guiding guests through bold pan-Asian flavors, ensuring accuracy, pacing, and genuine hospitality in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

What You'll Do

Guest Experience + Hospitality

• Deliver warm, energetic, and personable guest service while creating a welcoming Wagamama dining experience
• Create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere that reflects the Wagamama brand
• Build rapport with guests and ensure each interaction feels personal + attentive
• Regularly check in with guests to anticipate needs and deliver an exceptional experience
• Handle guest feedback or concerns professionally and escalate when needed

Menu Knowledge + Engagement

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of pan-Asian dishes, ingredients, and flavor profiles
• Confidently guide guests through the menu, including unfamiliar items and shared dining styles
• Provide thoughtful recommendations and engage in suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience
• Clearly communicate dietary restrictions, allergens, and modifications with accuracy

Order Accuracy + Service Execution

• Accurately enter orders into POS systems, ensuring all modifications + special requests are clear
• Coordinate with back-of-house teams to ensure proper pacing + timely delivery of food
• Verify order accuracy before serving and maintain awareness of table progress throughout the meal

Dining Room Standards

• Keep your section clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
• Maintain tables through proper clearing, resetting, and overall upkeep
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to standard

Team Collaboration

• Foster strong communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Encourage positive interaction between kitchen staff and guests in alignment with Wagamama's open, inclusive culture
• Support teammates during high-volume service periods

Food Safety + Compliance

• Identify guests with allergies or dietary restrictions and communicate clearly with management and kitchen teams
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server in a full-service restaurant environment preferred
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
• Ability to learn and confidently present a diverse pan-Asian menu
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Ability to move quickly and safely in a crowded environment
