Job Summary

As an integral member of the ER team, you will utilize your expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes during critical moments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions.
• Conduct rapid and accurate patient assessments, prioritizing interventions based on acuity.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and operate medical equipment in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records.
• Respond to emergency situations and codes with speed and proficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent, acute care experience in an Emergency Department setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Licensing Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Compact Multi-State License.
• Completion of an approved 6-hour suicide training specific to Washington State requirements.
• Verification of demographics through Nursys.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
