Group Product Manager, YouTube Platform Integrity

Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role. 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc.). 5 years of experience developing products integrated with API ecosystems. 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership. Preferred qualifications Master's degree in a technology or business related field. 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders. 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., marketing, business operations, consulting). 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership. 5 years of experience in software development or engineering. Knowledge of, or continued interest in building accessibility best practices, and experience/curiosity for incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. The team is part of the overall YouTube Trust and Safety team, which protects YouTube against Community Guidelines abuse and Scaled/Adversarial Abuse (spam). In this role, you will define the long-term strategy for securing official interfaces and preventing the unauthorized use of YouTube data. You will also partner with engineering and analyst teams to build and refine systems that detect and block attempts to inflate engagement numbers. Lastly, you will evaluate the success of integrity initiatives by measuring their impact on platform health, ensuring that protective measures do not hinder legitimate user experience. Act as the primary guardian of platform integrity, ensuring that the data and metrics that power the service remain accurate and trustworthy for creators and viewers alike. Balance the need for an open developer environment with the necessity of protecting the company from those who attempt to bypass official systems or offer unauthorized features. Address large-scale issues by identifying patterns of misuse and developing automated, sustainable ways to prevent deceptive behavior. Lead a specialized team of product managers, providing the direction and mentorship required to stay ahead of evolving threats to the digital ecosystem.
