Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift, 3x12.0

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This position emphasizes patient and employee safety, adhering to best practices and protocols to provide superior care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and form individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs related to each patient's diagnosis and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation of all clinical activities.
• Participate in the patient's rehabilitation program and prioritize education for patients and families.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise, train, and direct ancillary nursing personnel; delegate appropriately.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and support a positive work environment.
• Manage service needs and monitor supplies for effective patient care.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested and seek continuous professional development.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.

Schedule

This is a 3x12.0 day shift schedule, with every third weekend required.
