Pay & Schedule Pay: $25.00–$27.50 per hour (based on experience). Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday. Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm. What You’ll Do Install, repair, test, and remove/replace 12‑volt emergency vehicle equipment, including consoles, weapons racks, partitions, light bars, sirens, strobes, flashers, radios, speakers, OBD cables, and in‑car video systems. Install ALPR cameras, MDCs, antennas, and routers. Locate, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle wiring on new and in‑service vehicles. Required Skills 2+ years in vehicle upfitting, automotive electronics, car audio, or a related field. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Experience installing emergency lighting and ability to identify electrical circuits. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings. Must be able to lift 50–60 lbs and work in/around vehicles daily. Good hearing and color vision; able to see and work on small objects. Detail‑oriented, dependable, safety‑focused, and a strong communicator. Preferred Skills Mobile radio installation experience (Motorola, Kenwood). Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification. Working Conditions This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must perform frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. They may work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
