Unit: 14-bed overflow med/surg telemetry unit (flex space) with primary ED boarders; on-unit telemetry monitoring; may float to med/surg as needed; orientation 12 hours; block schedule not guaranteed; weekend coverage every other week; call as needed
Licensing and credentials: NY state nursing license in hand; BLS; EPIC charting experience; 1 year minimum clinical experience; charge experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Provide RN-level care for med/surg telemetry overflow patients with remote/on-unit telemetry monitoring in a high-demand overflow setting
- Manage feeding tube support (NG/G) and Foley catheter care; perform wound care and dressing changes; monitor for wounds and drains
- Conduct central line dressing changes as indicated and monitor blood product administration; perform glucose monitoring and 12-lead EKGs
- Administer oxygen as needed; assist patients with basic ADLs; maintain isolation precautions and communicate status changes using SBAR
- Document thoroughly in EPIC; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, RT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Transport, Unit Secretary, Rapid Response, Interpretation Services)

Requirements
- Active New York nursing license in hand
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; charge experience preferred
- BLS certification
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to float to med/surg units as needed
