Account Executive

Paystand is a decentralized finance (DeFi) fintech that digitizes receivables and automates financial processes to reduce time‑to‑cash and unlock new revenue streams. Role at a Glance The Account Executive drives outbound prospecting, leads discovery calls, and closes deals ranging from $15,000 to $500,000 in annual recurring revenue. This role requires deep knowledge of payments technology and experience selling in B2B SaaS environments. Roles & Responsibilities Proactively source and qualify leads through strategic outbound prospecting, including cold outreach, networking, and leveraging industry connections. Conduct thorough discovery calls and needs assessments to understand potential clients’ pain points, business objectives, and requirements. Develop and present compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations tailored to the specific needs and goals of prospective customers. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—Sales Development Representatives, Product Managers, and Customer Success teams—to ensure a seamless transition from prospecting to closing and implementation. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements to drive successful deal closures while maximizing value for both the client and the company. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progression in our CRM system. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and market developments to effectively position our solutions and maintain a competitive edge. Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and revenue objectives. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field—preferred but not required. 3–5 years of experience in a B2B sales role within SaaS or payments technology. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics, Acumatica, or similar cloud‑based ERP solutions is a must. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals. Strong understanding of payments technology, including merchant services and payment processing. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and compellingly. Strategic thinker with a consultative sales approach and a focus on building long‑term client relationships. Self‑motivated and results‑oriented, capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment—startup experience is a plus. Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot and other sales productivity tools. Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
