Qualifications:

• Valid Alaska Type A Teaching Certificate required
• Endorsements in Special Education and Elementary Education
• Previous experience in elementary and/or special education classrooms is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction to elementary students in general and special education settings
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s learning requirements
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive supports
• Monitor progress, modify instructional strategies, and provide timely feedback to students and guardians
• Uphold state and school policies related to confidentiality and educational best practices
• Advocate for students’ needs and encourage their academic, social, and emotional growth
