We are a family friendly culture that supports work life balance./ppThe back of house supervisor is responsible for assisting with the successful daily operations of the kitchen, in addition to their day-to-day duties as a cook. This individual acts as a leader amongst the back of house team to assist in meeting and exceeding the expectations set forth by the kitchen manager in terms of daily preparation and execution of food items, managing food inventory levels, and maintaining proper sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen. This role is key to our customers receiving their correct order, in line with our standards for quality and expedience, and directly impacts the overall guest experience./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliProvides leadership and supervision of all back of house team members, in addition to their duties as a cook./liliPerforms their duties as a cook to a high performance standard, serving as a role model for the standard of service./liliVerifies and audits the daily back of house opening/closing checklists./liliAssists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas./liliHelps to maintain daily preparation checklists and ensures adherence to recipes set forth by kitchen manager./liliEnsures food is prepared and plated to the expectations set forth by the kitchen manager and executed in a timely manner./liliAssists in supervision and direction of other back of house employee behaviors including, but not limited to, training and coaching on technical performance and norms./liliEnsures that proper food safety procedures and sanitation practices are being adhered to throughout the kitchen./liliDictates and assigns additional tasks to back of house team members, as necessary./liliImplements and maintains adherence to new and existing company processes and policies./liliContinues to develop skills and acumen alongside the restaurant leadership team./liliAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the kitchen manager, or restaurant general manager./liliDemonstrates thorough knowledge of proper use and maintenance of all kitchen equipment with the ability to train others in their safe operation./li/ulpQualifications include:/pulliHigh school diploma or GED./liliMust be 18 years of age or older./liliTwo years of line cook experience in a full-service restaurant./liliPossess a genuine interest in honing and developing leadership skills./liliAbility to interact and communicate in a professional manner./liliPossess the ability to provide direction to others in a manner that will drive the correct behaviors./liliPossess an understanding of professional cooking, preparation techniques, and knife handling skills./liliDemonstrates responsible, ethical, and honest behavior./liliPossess the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays./liliAbility to work effectively under pressure and possess the ability to convert stressful situations into positive experiences./liliUnderstanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures./liliPossess strong organization and problem-solving skills./liliMust possess requisite state and county service permits./liliMust be able to deal with varied personalities in a high-stress environment./liliThis position will spend a majority of the time standing./liliThe individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly./liliWorks effectively both independently and as a team lead; drives success through accountability./liliA strong commitment to culinary knowledge and the career field, with an interest in self-development./liliFull-service restaurant leadership experience in a high-volume environment./li/ulpLocation / Work Schedule: Seattle, WA, On-Site/ppJob Type / Salary: Full Time, Non-exempt: $25.91 $28.45 per hour/ppBenefits include:/pullistrongPaid Time Off:/strong 19 days accrued per year, 8 company holidays/lilistrongHealth Benefits:/strong Zero cost premium options for medical, dental, vision insurance/lilistrongRetirement:/strong 401(k) with 4% safe harbor match, no vesting period/liliFlexible spending accounts health savings accounts/liliPre-tax commuter benefits/liliSupplemental life and ADD insurance/liliAccident, critical illness hospital confinement plans/liliEmployee assistance program/liliEmployee discount/liliPaid parental leave/li/ulpEqual opportunity employment: We are committed to cultivating a workplace in which diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected.
