Join our team at a private practice dental office in Minden. We are looking for a part-time dental hygienist, but could be full-time in the future. This role focuses on direct patient care through clinical duties such as teeth cleaning, oral hygiene education, and periodontal therapy. The hygienist ensures high standards of infection control and accurate patient records management without the requirement for travel or significant administrative responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments to evaluate oral health status
• Conduct professional teeth cleaning and dental prophylaxis
• Provide oral hygiene education to patients to promote preventative care
• Complete accurate dental charting and documentation
• Operate radiographic imaging equipment and assist with x-rays
• Deliver periodontal therapy to manage gum health
• Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilize equipment
• Manage patient records to ensure thorough and up-to-date information

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in dental hygiene practice
• Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene
• Proficient in patient assessment and oral health education
• Skilled in dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy techniques
• Knowledgeable in infection control and radiology procedures
• Detail-oriented with strong charting and documentation abilities
• Effective communication skills and collaborative team player
