Safety Coordinator – Data Center Project

Location: Sullivan, IN

Employment Type: 7-Week Contract with Potential Temp-to-Perm Conversion
Pay: $45-$50/hour
Per Diem: $133/day, 6 days per week
Travel Pay: None
Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 5:45 AM - 4:45 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Safety Coordinator to support a major data center project in Sullivan, Indiana with a large electrical contractor. This position will play a key role in maintaining jobsite safety standards, supporting field operations, and ensuring compliance across a high-performing construction team.

Candidates with direct data center experience are preferred, but individuals with backgrounds in mission-critical, industrial, commercial, or large-scale electrical construction projects are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety support and guidance to field personnel
• Perform jobsite inspections and safety observations
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Assist with safety documentation, reports, and compliance tracking
• Lead and support toolbox talks and safety training
• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
• Partner with project management and field supervision to maintain a safe work environment
• Support incident prevention efforts and continuous safety improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

Option 1:

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field
• Minimum 1 year of safety experience

Option 2:

• Safety certification (STSC, CHST, CSP)
• Minimum 3 years of safety experience

Option 3:

• 5+ years of dedicated, relevant safety experience
• OSHA 30 Construction certification

Preferred Experience

• Electrical construction safety experience required
• Data center experience preferred
• Experience with mission-critical facilities, industrial projects, or large commercial builds accepted
• Strong understanding of OSHA construction standards
• Ability to work extended hours in an active construction environment
