Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (RN)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. This role is crucial for providing critical care to patients with severe and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate will possess expert clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as CRRT, IABP, and Ventriculostomy for patient management.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Participate in floating to other units as necessary, except for Behavioral and Emergency Room units.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NY and all other active RN licenses.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; 4-5 years preferred.
• Required travel experience within the healthcare field.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex is essential.
• Strong preference for candidates with heart-related experience.

Unit Specifics

• Total ICU Beds: 42 (Neuro/Med, Trauma/Surgical, CTICU).
• Common patient diagnoses include strokes, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-operative care.
• Scrub colors: Navy.
