Bookkeeper-Part Time

Job Summary

Our Sparta location is looking to hire a full-time Bookkeeper. This position is responsible for processing payroll, general accounting, receiving and assisting with other accounting duties as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assists Controller with various reports and projects.
• Process and issue team member paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
• Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into software.
• Review time cards and time clock reports, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
• Sort and file correspondence and perform miscellaneous clerical duties.
• Operate telephone to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, or taking messages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience with accounting preferred.
• Previous experience with payroll processing preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Associates degree in Accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to meet daily, weekly, period/monthly deadlines.
• Strong attention to deal, ability to work independently, and have strong ability to multi-task.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Salary

• $15 to $18 per hour depending on experience
