Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (18:00–06:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a dynamic mixed acuity unit encompassing medical-surgical and progressive care levels, including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients
• Manage drip therapies including cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips
• Care for unstable stroke patients and patients requiring BiPap support
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5–6 for medical-surgical patients and 1:3–4 for PCU-level patients
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; must be in hand prior to start date (pending licensure may be accepted if permanent license application has been submitted)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience required
• Solid neurological nursing experience required
• Must candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be pre-approved, additional RTO requires facility approval
• Must not be a current or recent permanent or PRN employee of this facility system within the past 12 months
• Indiana residents are not accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in medical-surgical/telemetry or PCU nursing
• Experience with oncology and/or stroke patient populations
• Familiarity with Cerner charting platform
