Position type: Hourly Enhance your skillset with both classroom and hands‑on applications focused on machining in this structured in‑house training program. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to set up, operate, and edit G and M code for CNC machines. This full‑time opportunity will begin on September 8th. Responsibilities Maintains optimal attendance, positivity, and readiness to learn. Completes classroom work timely and accurately. Strives to gain deep knowledge of CNC machining. Applies classroom learning and self‑study while training on the shop floor. Works from procedures and prescribed operation sequences to achieve parts per print and quality specifications. Performs hand rework functions such as deburring, polishing, and part cleaning. Operates water‑based part cleaning equipment to clean parts. Returns tool crib items to stock and performs tool crib cycle counts. Maintains equipment and classroom as needed. Performs material reclaim functions. Understands company goals and provides quality work, continually improving KPI attainment. Ensures equipment is used for its intended purpose. Practices optimal safety and 6S measures. Qualifications / Skills Must have a mechanical aptitude. High school diploma/GED required. Strong math skills required. 0–3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and meet assigned deadlines. High degree of responsibility, punctuality, and positive attitude. Ability to read blueprints (preferred but not required). Ability to work with hand and power tools. Knowledge of operating CNC machines (preferred but not required). Experience with set up and operation of conventional machine tools such as engine lathes, manual mills, surface grinders, and related machines (preferred but not required). Use of precision measuring instruments (e.g., indicators, micrometers, calipers, height gauges) and other tools associated with the machine tool trade.
