Duties include the basic maintenance, repair, and construction functions of the facility, such as plumbing, electrical, building construction, fabrication, and conveyor maintenance throughout the facility.Visual Comfort Offers:Working Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:30 pm – 1:00 am – 2nd shiftTraining & Development: A comprehensive and structured training program, complemented by ongoing education and opportunities for career advancement.Paid Time Off: Generous vacation accrual and paid time off policies.Holidays: 7 paid holidays per year, in addition to 2 floating holidays.Compensation: Competitive compensation planHealth Benefits: Visual Comfort covers the majority of employee medical premiums, and offers competitive vision and dental coverage available starting the first of the month following your start date.Insurance: Company-provided life insurance and short-term disability coverage.Retirement: 401(k) plan with company matching up to 4%, available beginning the first of the month following your hire date.How Success Is Defined:Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies within the building such as basic plumbing, electrical, patching, painting and other repairs and maintenance as needed to maintain property.Inspect, test drive and operate all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) on site as needed to ensure it is safe to use for the team and coordinate with outside vendors for warranty and other needed repairs.Operate equipment such as Stock Pickers, Boom Lifts and Scissor Lifts 30-50 feet in the air to inspect, repair and replace elevated conveyor parts and belts and conduct facility inspections and maintenance.Climb stairs and ladders to reach and maintain equipment to the sortation system located on mezzanine level 15 feet above the ground floor and perform all maintenance and repairs.Create and close out work order with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.Adhere to all safety, OSHA guidelines, work rules and policies and focuses daily on housekeeping inside and outside of the facility.Must be present in the workplace and demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by the Manager.Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.Exhibits and adheres to the established Visual Comfort Company Values.Performs other duties as assigned.What You Will Bring:A minimum of five (5) years of full-time related experience as a Maintenance Technician in a warehouse, distribution center or manufacturing environment.High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree required.Strong knowledge of the principles, practices, and objectives of basic maintenance to include repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility.Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, construction, forklift repair, power tools, preventative maintenance, heating and cooling, blueprint, automated packaging, and distribution equipment along with schematics.Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-yes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors and solenoids.Ability to work in a team atmosphere, promoting positive work relationships with other team members, as well as internal and external customers.Capacity to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from other departments, and interruptions with accuracy.Compensation Range: $24 to $26 per hour plus $1 shift differentialCompensation is based on individual factors, including skill set, relevant experience, and work locationQualified applicants are considered for employment, and employees are treated during employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, gender identity, or expression, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.To be eligible for this role, you must be authorized to work in the United States.
