Description of Work Reporting to the Correctional Programs Supervisor this position is responsible for carrying a caseload of offenders, which involves supportive counseling, conducting assessments, developing case plans, answer and following up on offender questions and problems. Job responsibilities include; but are limited to, the following: - Providing recommendations to the classification committee. - Assisting in major dynamic programs or coordination major or specialized programs for the rehabilitation of offenders, such as offender work assignments, work release, education, or recreation. - Planning and coordination transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community. About the Division of Institutions: The Division of Institutions manages the daily operations of all state-operated prison facilities across North Carolina. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel. About Tabor Correctional Institution: Tabor Correctional Institution is located in Tabor City, North Carolina and houses up to 1,752 male offenders in a close, medium, and minimum custody facility.
