Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and repair needs at dialysis clinics throughout the Culpeper, VA area. This contract-to-hire , hands-on role involves servicing approximately 15-20 clinics within a travel radius of up to two hours.

The technician will organize their own daily route and schedule based on incoming work orders, prioritizing emergencies while completing preventive maintenance and general facility repairs. The ideal candidate has a well-rounded maintenance background, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs, along with a strong commitment to professionalism and customer service in a client- and patient-facing environment. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

What You'll Do

• Plan and manage daily service routes based on incoming work orders, clinic locations, and repair priorities.
• Respond to emergency work orders and address urgent facility maintenance needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and water heaters.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Complete general facility repairs, including flooring repairs, painting, patching, and other maintenance tasks.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
• Assist with the installation, modification, and maintenance of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders, estimate required time and materials, and track repairs through completion.
• Communicate with clinic managers to identify additional maintenance needs and provide service updates.
• Follow applicable safety procedures, building codes, and maintenance standards.
• Maintain professional, courteous communication with clinic staff, patients, and other facility contacts.
• Use a laptop and cell phone to support work order management and daily service activities.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5-7 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, flooring repairs, painting, patching, and general facility maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a changing workload.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using a laptop and cell phone.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A high level of professionalism and customer service, particularly when working in a patient-facing environment.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, walking, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting or carrying 50 pounds or more.

Preferred Qualifications

• Universal EPA 608 certification.
• Trade school education or technical training.
• NATE certification.
• Master electrician license.
• Additional applicable HVAC certifications.
