Hourly Compensation: $37.45-$44.95 per hour, depending on prior experience, plus an additional $2.25 per hour for night shifts.
Work Schedule: FULL-TIME NIGHT SHIFT from 6 PM to 6 AM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with an additional shift every other Sunday from 10 PM to 6 AM.

The main responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to apply the nursing process in delivering direct care to assigned residents. The RN will oversee and implement shift routines within the designated nursing unit, while also supervising and evaluating the activities of staff members as the designated leader, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The RN may also take on “Building Charge” duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or their designee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado .
- Current CPR Certification.
- Ongoing maintenance of required Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
- Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions using initiative and discretion.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Effective communication skills with staff, families, and external agencies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer service-oriented with knowledge of effective service techniques.
- Clinical proficiency in performing physical and cognitive assessments of residents.
- Competence in using computers and electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping and documentation.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of current Antibiotic Stewardship, Infection Prevention, and OSHA guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leadership and Direction on Assigned Unit
- Exemplifies positive communication skills with nursing assistants, interdisciplinary teams, and management.
- Maintains open communication with supervisors and colleagues during shift changes.
- Conducts rounds to assess residents' physical and psychosocial well-being.
- Assigns staff appropriately to meet the needs of residents.
- Ensures that team members fulfill their responsibilities during the shift.
- Participates in scheduled nurses and team meetings.
- Takes necessary disciplinary actions when warranted.
- Reports any occupational exposures in accordance with facility policies.
- Brings forward concerns and suggestions for improvement to facility leadership.
- Resident Care Responsibilities
- Maintains proficiency in all required skills within assigned areas.
- Treats residents with dignity and respect.
- Reports any suspected abuse or neglect immediately as per company policy.
- Performs nursing techniques to ensure resident comfort and well-being.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitors resident responses to medications and reports any side effects or concerns to physicians.
- Keeps accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies.
- Adheres to all protocols regarding vital signs, weights, and medication administration.
- Communicates changes in resident conditions to physicians.
- Updates resident representatives and families on their loved ones' conditions.
- Follows emergency protocols in case of a 911 call.
- Adheres to all Advance Directives and care protocols.
- Documentation and Assessment Duties
- Contributes to the development and updating of resident care plans.
- Evaluates and reports on the performance of staff under your supervision.
- Completes routine charting as required by established policies.
- Accurately transcribes physician orders and communicates necessary information to other departments.
- Documents and reports all incidents involving residents, visitors, and staff.
- Maintains informative and descriptive nurses’ notes that reflect care provided and resident responses.
- Conducts ongoing assessments of residents as needed and documents findings according to facility policy.
- Personnel Responsibilities
- Attends scheduled nurses meetings.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Completes continuing education requirements.
- Initiates disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Participates in employee evaluations and staffing recommendations.
- Fosters good working relationships with inter-departmental staff.
- Completes required in-services and online training modules.
- Committee Participation
- Engages in various committees and meetings to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Other duties as assigned.
