General Manager

Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a General Manager on behalf of our client, a company specializing in fasteners, hardware, and C-class commodity management for global OEM customers. The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the branch, overseeing people, processes, and products to drive operational excellence and profitable growth. This leadership role is accountable for branch profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory performance, and team development while ensuring alignment with the company's mission, vision, and core values. The ideal candidate will bring experience in industrial distribution, supply chain operations, or related industries and possess a strong track record of leading high-performing teams and managing business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the branch business plan to achieve operational and financial objectives.
• Oversee total branch performance, including profitability, cash flow, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop branch management personnel, including Customer Service & Support, Operations, and Warehouse leadership teams.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership, including the President/CEO, COO, and CFO, to align branch goals with company objectives.
• Partner with the Corporate Director of Sales and Sales Team to strengthen customer relationships and drive strategic, profitable growth opportunities.
• Work with Supply Chain leadership to optimize inventory levels, product availability, and inventory performance metrics.
• Monitor and improve customer service performance, including on-time delivery, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee customer service functions, including customer communications, RFQ processing, sales order management, and invoicing activities.
• Direct warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Analyze branch performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, employee development, and operational excellence.

Requirements Include:
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7+ years of leadership experience in industrial distribution, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Experience managing branch operations, business units, or profit centers with P&L responsibility.
• Experience working with industrial hardware, fasteners, C-Class components, or OEM customers preferred.
• Proven success leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements.
• Experience with customer relationship management and strategic business growth initiatives.

Skills:

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Financial acumen with experience managing P&L performance and cash flow.

Certifications:

• Professional certifications in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management are a plus.
