Job Purpose: The individual working in the Customer Service Specialist role will work in a fast-paced environment. The individual will be responsible for reviewing and accurately entering purchase orders in Mid America Pet Food's ERP system, working closely with the company's Sales, Manufacturing, and Shipping departments to ensure accuracy of purchase orders, availability of product, and timely processing. Duties & Responsibilities: Accurately enter and process purchase orders in a timely manner Problem-solve by researching within the database, email exchanges, the internet, and appropriate personnel throughout the company. Diligently follow purchase orders through to completion, working with appropriate parties to quickly resolve issues that delay timely processing. Answer incoming calls in support of the sales team, customers, and suppliers. Support the company's administrative staff in a variety of general office and clerical tasks. Possess the flexibility necessary to multi-task in a demanding, fast-paced technical environment Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced customer service role or order management role in a high-volume manufacturing environment Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred Strong computer skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities Strong attention to detail Excellent data entry skills to quickly and accurately review and input data Effective communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills Superior phone etiquette and ability to deal effectively with internal or external customers, peers and management Shows initiative and able to work independently Reliability Strong problem-solving skills Work well under pressure and maintain professionalism during stressful situations Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
