Chemical Scientist We are currently seeking a Chemical Scientist to become a valued member of our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the laboratory with various testing procedures in a secure work environment. It is crucial for this role to efficiently manage time in order to complete all assigned tests. The Chemical Scientist should possess a willingness and ability to learn laboratory processes that support testing, as well as the theory and troubleshooting of instrumentation. Roles and Responsibilities Testing: Conducting Release, Stability, and Special Request testing on finished products and raw material samples using Standard Operating Procedures, in-house test methods, and/or compendial methods. Capable of independently executing in-house methods and procedures with minimal assistance. Teamwork: Adaptable to changes in the testing schedule and open to implementing laboratory improvements suggested by management or colleagues. Assisting in the training of new laboratory staff and documenting training according to established laboratory SOPs and programs. Safety Requirements: Maintaining a Safety-First mindset and being vigilant of the work environment while in the laboratory. Ensure a safe work environment and the proper calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment. General Responsibilities: Training on various instrumentation such as Laboratory Balances, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and more. Willingness to learn new laboratory test methods and additional instrumentation as needed. Completing projects assigned by management within established deadlines while effectively managing testing responsibilities. Staying up-to-date on publications from USP, FDA, and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with analytical applications, release specifications, and documentation practices. Minimum Requirements: The ideal candidate will have over a year of laboratory experience in a cGMP environment, with a preference for experience working with Gas Chromatography (GC) and/or Liquid Chromatography (LC). Effective interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel are essential. Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, preferably with a concentration in Biochemistry, Inorganic, Physical, or Polymer Chemistry. Gables Search Group
