Network EngineerBoston, MAWe are looking for a Network Engineer (field) to join the Customer Advocacy team. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience of installing and supporting network solutions. The candidate will have experience working with: Multicast Video Streaming, Peer to Peer Video Streaming, Video Caching.You will be able to:Support installation of our video networking solutions at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to agreed specificationsProvide when needed on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and debug issuesProvide Technical Support remotely for the firm's customer install baseAssists Customers with preventive maintenance procedures that will help maintain our solution in their networkLead customer facing projects such as training, documentation and exhibitionsArticulate both the firm's technology and product positioning to business and technical usersWork closely with 2nd Level Support to ensure local install base is maintained to company standardsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as the technical authority for our Video Networking solutions.Complete responsibility for the successful development and delivery of Customer installations, including gathering of Customer requirements, building the POC to meet expectations in a timely manner, and onboarding the final solution.Capable of thriving in a high-demand technical environment while successfully juggling responsibilities and deliverables across several simultaneous projectsWork closely with Sales Representatives and Technical Account Managers to provide support in eliminating any technical obstaclesCandidate will be asked on occasion to assist other Ramp teams as needed with activities including but not limited to: Setting up Product Evaluations, Internal and External Product Documentation, Product Prototype Design and DevelopmentSkills and Experience:Bachelor Degree required, B.S. in Computer-related field preferred3+ years of professional experience with end-user enterprise software solutionsStrong experience installing, configuring and administering LAN/WAN technologies.Experience configuring and using network management and analytics tools, network tapping, and protocol analysisStrong knowledge and background of working with eCDN or Networking Solutions, particularly interested in: Multicast, Peer to Peer and CDN technologies for video deliveryKnowledge of administrating SharePoint 2013/O365 is also a plus.Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and efficientlyExperience with back-end technologies, including but not limited to: Java 1.6+, C#, SQL and Windows/Linux administration
