Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Triage Phone Nurse General Surgery - Surgical Group (Days)

Responsible for assisting the physician in clinical care of all patients to include patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day-to-day clinical operations of the office. Education See License/Certification Requirements Experience Six months of related experience Licenses & Certifications Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License Healthcare Provider (CPR) or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Qualifications Completion of an accredited School of Nursing program and current licensure by the State Board of Nursing required. Experience in medical practice preferred. Medical practice preferred. Clinical rotation time considered. Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians. Must maintain high degree of confidentiality. Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital and/or other physician. Must possess the sense of discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards. Prior experience performing X-rays and EKG's is preferred.
