Compensation: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 Per Year Total Anticipated Compensation Up To: $70,000.00 Overview Founded in 1896, Kent Country Club is one of West Michigan's premier private clubs, offering an exceptional golf experience built around outstanding service, championship golf, and a welcoming membership. The club features an 18-hole Donald Ross-designed golf course, practice range, short game area, and an indoor TrackMan studio with two hitting bays. With approximately 18,000 annual rounds and a traditional no tee-time policy, Kent provides a vibrant golf atmosphere and an active membership throughout the season. Kent Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to join our team and play an integral role in all aspects of the golf operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a PGA Professional or PGA Associate looking to advance their career in the golf industry while gaining valuable experience in tournament operations, instruction, merchandising, and member engagement within a premier private club environment. This is a full-time, year-round position that has become available following the promotion of one of our Assistant Golf Professionals to another position within the golf industry. We are committed to finding the right candidate and are flexible with the start date, which could be as early as late summer 2026 or as late as early spring 2027. Experience Required Previous golf course experience; private club experience preferred. PGA Member or actively working toward PGA Membership. Passion for providing exceptional member service and hospitality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn. Team-oriented with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Working alongside the Director of Golf and professional staff, the Assistant Golf Professional will assist in all areas of the golf operation, including: Daily golf shop opening and closing procedures. Assisting with the management of outside golf operations and the club's caddie program. Planning and execution of member tournaments, leagues, and golf events. Assisting with a highly successful Junior Golf Program, serving more than 150 participants annually. Merchandising, buying support, inventory management, and golf shop presentation. Performing starter and player assistance (ranger) duties as needed. Building relationships by playing golf with members and enhancing the overall member experience. Providing private and group instruction. Performing club repair and equipment services. Supporting the daily operation of the golf shop while delivering exceptional service to members and guests.
