About This Role

We are looking for part-time substitute teachers for the 2026-2027 school year for our classrooms that serve children from three years of age through kindergarten. Our school closely follows the Adams 12 School District calendar- we start in August and end in May. Early Childhood Teacher Qualified preferred, however if you are not already qualified, we may be able to help you become qualified.

Substitute Teachers cover for part-time preschool and/or kindergarten teachers in the classroom in the event that they are unable to come to school. It is important that substitute teachers work in cooperation with other classroom teachers, supporting children’s emotional, physical, cognitive, and social needs, and fostering positive relationships with families. Substitute teachers will implement lesson plans dictated in the sub notes and be responsible for the safety and well-being of the children in their care. Substitute teachers may be scheduled ahead of time or on short notice.

• Must meet the requirements for the Early Childhood Teacher Qualifications and/or Kindergarten Teacher Qualifications as specified by Colorado Department of Early Childhood (have or be able to obtain a level 2 or higher in the Professional Development Information System (PDIS) (level 3 for kindergarten).
• Must pass the CBI, FBI, and Trails background checks.
• Must be available to work any or all of the following part-time hours: Mondays through Thursdays between 8:30am and 2:00pm.
• Must meet health qualifications as required by the state.
• Must be able to sit, kneel, bend, squat or crawl, take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, and talk to and hear voices at many levels.
• Must be able to lift/move furniture, supplies, materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.

• Have the desire to serve preschool and kindergarten children in ways that are positive, loving, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate.
• Work with our collaborative teachers who are dedicated to supporting one another, learning and growing together.
• Possess strong interpersonal, relational, and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task.
