Technical Lead, API Integration & Lab Network

Salary: $104,000 - 114,400 per year Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of laboratory network architecture and experience with API integrations, web services, and protocols such as TCP/IP, REST/SOAP, and MQTT or other device communication protocols.
• Experience connecting web applications to laboratory instruments and troubleshooting network, middleware, and interface issues.
• Familiarity with servers, firewalls, VPNs, routing, data transfer, message exchange, and system interoperability.
• Experience validating API connectivity between separate scientific and cloud-hosted applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including managing EC2 instances, monitoring logs and metrics with tools such as CloudWatch, and applying fundamental cloud networking and security principles.
• Hands-on experience supporting LIMS or automated sample management software; experience with Azenta BioStore, Benchling, or BioInventory is highly preferred.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, including investigating application alerts related to database connectivity, offline hardware controllers, and data read/write failures.
• Experience working in a matrixed IT organization and collaborating with integration support, product owners, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to coordinate fixes.
• Ability to turn technical anomalies into structured weekly performance reports and issue logs for project stakeholders.

• Develop technical requirements, functional specifications, and solution design documents for the sample management platform and related LIMS integrations, based on business needs and collaboration with scientific and business subject matter experts.
• Create and maintain installation and deployment plans, test strategies, validation documentation, and SDLC deliverables for compliant system implementation and operation.
• Develop and manage Jira epics, stories, tasks, and Xray test artifacts for project delivery, system validation, testing, defect management, and ongoing platform improvements.
• Produce architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and advanced support documentation for the automated sample storage solution and connected systems.
• Coordinate test execution, issue resolution, release readiness, and vendor deliverables to support deployment and continued platform support.
