Position Overview 12-week contract

GeneralUroVascularOrthoOBEndo Volume is light; 10-20 cases/day - 90 days - 7a to 3p OR 5a to 5p - Coverage is 1 week w/same MD covering day shift/call- OT options available - Lodging: $131/day - Car rental: $250/week - # of OR rooms: 3 anesthetizing locations (2 OR, 1 NORA)Staffing model: 3:1 Medical DirectionEMR system: EPIC

Anesthesiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Anesthesiologist - REQUIREMENTS

• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Virginia.
• Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology. Board eligibility is also accepted.
• Currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent.
