Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal software engineering training or certification, with at least 5 years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more of Java, Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
• Demonstrated experience combining data architecture and solution engineering in large-scale production environments.
• Practical experience designing and implementing Kafka solutions, publishing streaming or batch data to a lake or data platform, and working with Cassandra, Oracle, and Java services or pipelines.
• Experience with schema registries, data contract design, and governance.
• Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs and integrations.
• Strong SDLC practices, including CI/CD, testing strategies, code review, production support, and observability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, solve problems effectively, and learn quickly.
• Experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency requirements; experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant practices and controls.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Trust & Security domains such as fraud, IAM, device trust, cyber signals, third-party risk, or data loss prevention.
• Preferred: Experience with stream-processing frameworks such as Kafka Streams, Flink, or Spark Streaming, and real-time enrichment or correlation patterns; AI/ML and feature-store knowledge is a plus.
• Preferred: Cloud-native experience, particularly with AWS, and platform modernization.
• Preferred: A record of establishing reusable engineering patterns and standards across teams without direct people management.
• Preferred: Graph database experience; TigerGraph is preferred.

• Provide technical guidance and direction to business partners, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• Promote and govern approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish measurable validation standards and encourage reusable patterns and automation across the SDLC and TLM toolchain.
• Own end-to-end architecture and solution design for Trust & Security data and integration capabilities, from proofs of concept and reference architectures through production-ready designs, roadmaps, and migration plans.
• Design and implement reliable, scalable Kafka streaming solutions, including ordering, idempotency, replay, and dead-letter queues; define data contracts and governance, including schema registry strategy, compatibility, ownership, validation, and data quality and freshness expectations.
• Build streaming and batch data publishing patterns for lake and analytical platforms, with observability, quality checks, lineage and metadata hooks, and access controls.
• Lead engineering of Java services and pipelines, delivering secure production code and reviewing and debugging others work.
• Architect and model fit-for-purpose data stores using Cassandra and Oracle, addressing partitioning, performance, consistency, resiliency, schema design, SQL performance, and integration.
• Design REST and GraphQL service interfaces and integrations with clear API and error contracts, SLAs and SLOs, and backward-compatible change practices.
• Use SDLC toolchain capabilities, including approved AI-assisted development and automation, to improve the value delivered by automation at scale.
