RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 16-hour shifts with guaranteed hours
• Up to 1 overnight call per week and 3 weekends per 13-week contract
• Weekend call schedule runs from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Must float across all campuses within the health system
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Patient ratio of 1:1 with 16-bed unit capacity
• Handle average of 35-50 cases per day with turnover expectations of less than 20 minutes
• Both scrub and circulating experience preferred
• Work with specialized equipment including 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation, and primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma
• Service lines include cardiac/PV, neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants
• 24 months of current operating room experience required
• Experience in general, DaVinci robotics, pediatrics, and trauma cases required
• EPIC EMR experience within previous 3 years required
• Level I trauma experience highly preferred, Level II trauma experience required
• Must have completed a travel assignment within previous 15 months
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
