Paralegal Trust Estates

We are seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support attorneys and clients in the wealth preservation practice of a New York law office. This role combines legal, administrative, and financial responsibilities and requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer trust accounts, including bookkeeping, distributions, record-keeping, and preparing annual statements.

• Prepare Estate and Gift Tax returns and oversee court filings, including probate and surrogate’s court submissions.

• Draft trust agreements and manage trust-related payments, budgets, and beneficiary distributions.

• Monitor investments and analyze monthly trust statements.

• Ensure trustee and executor compliance with fiduciary obligations.

• Maintain communication with trustees, grantors, beneficiaries, accountants, and financial advisors.

• Collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients; assist with administrative support and reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.

• 7+ years of experience in trust and estate administration, accounting, or tax.

• Proficiency with tax and accounting software (e.g., UltraTax, Excel).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Compensation:
$100,000-$145,000 per year
