Quality Control Chemist

Ensure full compliance with EPA, FDA, DEA, cGMP/cGLP regulations, OSHA standards, and internal SOPs within the QC lab and production environment.

Perform chemical testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, intermediates, finished products, and stability samples.

Review, interpret, and accurately document analytical data, ensuring validity and integrity of results.

Utilize and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, including chromatography and wet chemistry techniques.

Support laboratory programs such as calibration, preventive maintenance, and equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).

Investigate out-of-specification or non-conforming results and execute root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Author and maintain controlled documents, including SOPs, test methods, and technical reports.

Manage lab operations tasks such as inventory, reagent preparation, hazardous waste handling, and maintaining notebooks/records.

Collaborate cross-functionally, communicate project updates, interact with vendors, and assist in training while serving as a subject matter expert when needed.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charles City, IA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
