Job Summary
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in the California region. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients within the ICU setting. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care, monitors patient progress, and educates patients and families about ongoing care and recovery processes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: California RN license, Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, current American Heart Association certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, and at least 1 year of nursing experience in a critical care setting. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICU technology, knowledge of hospital protocols, and prior work in fast-paced critical care environments.
• Additional Information: The RN will perform all duties consistent with the scope of practice outlined by the California Nursing Practice Act, including assessing patients, interpreting data, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. The role emphasizes family-centered care, emergency response, patient teaching, and continuous professional development. The RN is expected to utilize current technology for documentation and communication, participate in team-building activities, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
