Technical Compliance Analyst [Remote]

This role sits at the intersection of compliance, payments infrastructure, and financial systems engineering within a fast-scaling global fintech environment. You will be responsible for building and operating the technical backbone of a modern compliance program supporting cross-border payments and digital asset-adjacent transactions. The position requires strong operational ownership of AML/CFT processes, transaction monitoring systems, and regulatory reporting frameworks. You will work closely with product, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure that compliance is embedded directly into the platform rather than applied as a layer afterward. This is a highly hands-on role where you will help define processes from the ground up in an environment where global regulations, financial infrastructure, and emerging technologies converge. It is an opportunity to contribute directly to the evolution of regulated digital money movement at an early and high-impact stage.

Accountabilities:

Own and operate the technical and operational components of a global compliance program supporting payments, onboarding, and transaction monitoring systems.

• Manage end-to-end AML/CFT processes including KYC/B onboarding, transaction monitoring, and screening workflows
• Configure, optimize, and maintain transaction monitoring rules for cross-border payments and stablecoin-related activity
• Ensure accurate record-keeping, data retention, and reporting in alignment with global regulatory requirements
• Detect, investigate, escalate, and document suspicious activity in accordance with AML/BSA and regulatory obligations
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate compliance requirements into platform design and system workflows
• Support regulatory audits, bank examinations, and internal compliance reviews with accurate data and documentation
• Assist in developing and refining operational procedures across payments, treasury, and vendor integrations
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the compliance framework as the product and regulatory landscape evolves

Requirements:

This role requires a compliance professional with strong technical fluency and hands-on experience operating AML/CFT systems in complex, cross-border financial environments.

• 5+ years of experience in compliance, financial crime, or AML operations within fintech, payments, or financial services
• Strong hands-on experience with transaction monitoring systems and compliance reporting tools
• Proven ability to scale or operate compliance programs in high-growth or regulated environments
• Experience with cross-border payments, FX systems, stablecoins, or digital asset-adjacent businesses strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of AML/BSA, KYC, CFT frameworks, and regulatory compliance obligations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and global cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail and risk identification
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to work across distributed, international teams
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where processes are still being defined
