The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our restaurant and bar outlets , while also overseeing the successful execution of special events and programming. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences, building strong teams, and ensuring smooth, profitable operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of daily F&B operations, including active presence on the service floor and direct involvement in private event execution. Manage and support outlet and banquet staff—recruiting, scheduling, training, evaluating, and maintaining high performance standards. Monitor inventory, control costs, and analyze P&L reports to identify and implement improvements. Partner with sales and marketing to develop promotions, packages, and creative programming that drive in-house guest engagement and capture a greater share of the local market. Ensure service excellence in line with brand standards, stepping in to perform any operational role as needed. Maintain compliance with all safety, sanitation, and operational guidelines. Requirements 3+ years of restaurant/bar management experience, preferably within a hotel or resort environment. Strong knowledge of banquet and catering operations. Proven skills in inventory control, purchasing, and financial reporting. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of a 24/7 hotel operation.
