Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN)

Position Overview RN Registered Nurse Supervisor at Apple Rehab Guilford, an 86‑bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located along the East River waterfront. Availability and Shifts 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday (no weekends) 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Per Diem—any shift (no weekends) Responsibilities Plan, oversee, and execute nursing services for residents while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities to guarantee residents receive top‑quality care consistently. Collaborate with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions for shifts. Coordinate nursing activities in alignment with medical requirements, physician directives, and general care plans. Manage and direct charge nurses to ensure proper resident care. Adjust care plans in collaboration with medical staff to address emergency medical needs. Assume full responsibility for operating decisions in the absence of superiors. Ensure adequate relief staff availability before leaving the facility and notify residents’ personal physicians in case of significant changes in condition or immediate medical needs. Qualifications Current, valid state RN license and good standing as a Registered Nurse. Previous supervisory experience in a nursing setting. Strong attention to detail, follow‑through skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Demonstrated cooperation and team‑work abilities. Long‑term care experience preferred. Knowledge of general rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long‑term care. Additional Expectations All RN Supervisor positions require weekend on‑call availability to support staff and residents. Per diem staff are expected to complete two weekend shifts each month.
