Job Title: Quality Supplier Engineer

Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Waterloo, IA 50613-8000
Duration: 2 Years (Possible Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Minimal OT)

Job Overview:

Seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support new product development programs focused on metal fabrication commodities for large tractor manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support supplier quality activities for new product development programs
• Work closely with metal fabrication suppliers to ensure quality compliance
• Execute Quality Plan Level (QPL), DPAR, and PPAP processes
• Support outsourced parts quality planning and validation activities
• Assist with containment, issue resolution, and experimental build support
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams
• Support additional commodity quality activities as needed
• Monitor and improve supplier quality performance

Required Skills:

• Supplier quality or manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of quality planning methodologies
• Metal fabrication and welding background
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage changing priorities
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with metal fabrication suppliers
• Supplier quality engineering experience
• SAP experience
• PPAP, QPL, and DPAR process knowledge

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology, or related discipline preferred
• Equivalent relevant work experience considered

Work Experience:

• Manufacturing environment experience required
• 1+ year supplier quality or supplier-facing experience preferred
• Metal fabrication industry experience preferred
