This position is located in the Rivertowns area of Westchester, NY. Summary The Sr. Systems Engineer is a senior technical and security-focused role responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of client IT environments. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, responding to complex support requests, leading advanced troubleshooting efforts, and implementing secure IT solutions across endpoints, servers, networks, and cloud environments. A strong emphasis is placed on cybersecurity best practices, including threat prevention, detection, remediation, and risk reduction. The ideal candidate has a strong IT foundation, deep hands-on cybersecurity experience, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems including network connectivity, traffic utilization, etc. Administer and secure AD, M365, DNS, DHCP, Azure, AWS, file/print services, and identity/access controls. Configure, manage, and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless security. Provision, configure, and secure systems including endpoint protection, access controls, and multi-factor authentication. Provide hands‑on technical support across endpoints, servers, networks, and cloud environments, with a strong focus on best practices. Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls such as endpoint protection, anti‑malware, patch management, email security, and DNS filtering. Serve as a senior escalation point for service desk requests, ensuring timely, professional, and effective resolutions Requirements Experience specifically with: PSA (Professional Services Automation) and RMM (remote monitoring and management) Configuring Microsoft Office 365 tenants. Troubleshooting versions of Exchange and SharePoint (including online and classic). Setting up servers and migrating server applications. Experience generally with: Windows desktop and servers, M365, AD, AWS, Azure and other cloud environments. Securing networks using firewalls, VPNs, Vlans, routing and wireless security solutions. Setting up endpoint protection, mail filtering and security monitoring tools. Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity Other Requirements: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical and security concepts to non-technical users.
