Role A Licensed or Non-Licensed Electrician installs basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. This position supports projects within a 70-mile radius of our headquarters in Tysons, Virginia. Responsibilities Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans. Install and mount electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components. Perform interlock wiring as required. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices. Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Read contract drawings. Troubleshoot EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays. Qualifications Four (4) years of experience working in the electrical industry. High School diploma or GED required. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test. Reliable transportation. Ability to work mandatory overtime, including night and weekend work as needed. Working conditions and environment Physically demanding; may work outdoors in all weather conditions and in various environments. Work at extreme heights or in restricted areas such as switchgear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, or attics. Access work areas that may require OSHA-approved site construction ladders or stairs. Flexible work hours; overtime, weekends, and night shifts may be required. Interact with customers and their representatives while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
